HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Very Early!

As a young kid I was always curious. My parents were building a house around age 3-5 and we spent time seeing many houses in progress. I loved it. Touring an unfinished house, picking up strips of nails, seeing where the pipes and wires went, the rough framing, sheetrock halfway hung. I learned a lot from that and still enjoy being in homes of all stages of construction. I was also taught by a neighborhood teenager to skateboard and work on bicycles around the age of 7 so that got me tinkering with mechanical things and eventually building skateboard ramps. Yard-sailing on a Saturday with my mom was a favorite activity. I'd get an old VCR or telephone and then smash it up with a hammer when we got home to see what was inside. Eventually I learned about screws and screwdrivers. A family friend also taught me to build radio controlled airplanes from raw balsa wood and wire up motors, servos, and radio controls.

In short, I like imagining things, then bringing them to fruition. I always have a project, or ten.
