SEPG 2019: DIY SOLAR 101

This will be a semi-formal, focused discussion about all the components involved in an off-grid solar system (including a field trip to my nearby off-grid house).

Curious about living with solar energy and maybe even installing your system? We'll cover all the basics: load calculating for battery and system sizing, where to site your panels and equipment, battery and other equipment options, general system design. Field trip to my off-grid, passive solar, PV solar, wood radiant floor heated (w/ hot tub), small, custom-built, double-wide, mobile home. The home is adjacent to Mountain Gardens and there may be an optional jaunt from that field trip as well.
